This is a decision that we have taken very seriously and plan to execute with utmost precaution.

Here is what we will do to keep you and ourselves safe:

  • For the next few months we will be taking outdoor sessions ONLY to ensures social distancing. After Phase 2, I will re-evaluate and, if it is safe to do so, may consider opening the studio back up for in-studio sessions.
  • During the next month, sessions will be limited to immediate family only.
  • We will be relying on parental involvement during portrait sessions to minimize person to person contact. This means Mom and/or Dad may be posing children under our direction, asked to fix clothing, and most likely getting your children to smile as they may not respond to us behind our masks. We know this is a very different operating procedure, but it is to ensure safety of all involved. We love our little people and want to keep them, and you, as safe as possible!
  • During this time we will review all portrait orders online and have a phone consultation rather than ordering them in person, on the projector. Rest assured, I will still give you my artistic opinion to help you make the best decision possible for your portraits.

And here is what we would truly appreciate from you:

  • Everyone needs to fill out a questionnaire form before confirming their session.
  • If you are feeling sick, especially if you are running a fever, please don’t hesitate to let me know. We WILL accommodate rescheduling you!
  • Please ONLY bring the child being photographed to the session.
  • Please wash your hands prior to and after your session.
  • As much as I LOVE hugs, please tell your littles that we (sadly) cannot hug each other right now. :(

I am so very grateful to every single one of you who have supported my small business through this crazy time. I KNOW I will come back from this better than ever because I have the greatest support in you!

From the bottom of my heart,

THANK YOU!!

Jeannie

Nothing is quite as magical as the golden hour of warm, soft, light setting behind the horizon of the crystal waters of the North Carolina coast...except for your family, on that beach, at sunset. This is the year that you finally get the perfect family portrait for your home or a beautiful, heirloom album showcasing your story by the sea. Most families make a weekend of their family portrait session and add to the wonderful memories. Let's make this vision a reality for you this year!

Artist fee for a session at Topsail Island is $350

Additional Portrait product investment is $1800

I can't wait to create these forever memories for your family and I will see you at the beach!

Love + Hugs,

Jeannie

How to book your Limited Edition "Storybook Santa" Session

These are my FAVORITE sessions to take! I love seeing the children's excitement in their faces, hearing their sweet little voices tell Santa their wishes, and watching the parents melt while seeing the magic of childhood during Christmas unfold in front of them. Many families tell me that Christmas STARTS after they come for their Santa portraits. You will NOT regret taking these portraits with your children and I cannot wait to meet your family!

Storybook Santa sessions are a one day event and will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019.

The Details About How To Schedule:

Please send me an email at jeannie@jeannieblinsonphotography to request a reservation with Mr. Claus. When responding to request a time,  PLEASE include this information:

  • Your children's names and ages (in mid/late November)
  • Your phone number

The Financial Details:

1. The Session fee for Santa is $20 for the first subject and $10 for each additional subject. The session fee is payable the day of your session by  either cash or check.

2. "Cousin" sessions will require consecutive appointment times and separate minimum purchases (one for each booking).

3. The minimum purchase is The Capa print collection which is $250, but you are always welcome to upgrade to a higher print collection. A $50 retainer will be taken to secure your time. The retainer will be invoiced to you once your signed contract is returned and will be due by September 15, 2019. If your retainer is not paid by that date, your time will be offered to the next person on the waiting list. The retainer will be applied to your portrait order.

4. Christmas cards DO NOT count towards your minimum purchase. They can be added once a 5 sheet print collection has been purchased.

A Couple More Details:

1. "Dear Santa" starts as a first come first serve event, but as the schedule tightens up, it doesn't stay that way. As I end up with small times to fill, I ultimately have to start booking ages of children that will work in the remaining spaces.

2. "Dear Santa" is not usually a good event for family photos. The set is small and doesn't accommodate multiple adults with their kids very well- talk to us ahead of time to see if we can make it work. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed for Storybook Santa sessions. There is too much risk with so many little children coming through on Santa session day. I am MORE than happy to take sessions with your fur babies on a different date!

3. Once you are booked, your contract has been signed and your retainer paid I will send you an email with wardrobe details. I have even included links to      outfits that will work for your session!

If you have further questions after reviewing this email, please feel free to contact me-- I'm here to help! 919.261.8500 studio or email me at jeannie@jeannieblinsonphotography.com

Hugs + Love,

Elf Jeannie

Hello friends!

Fear is a real booger isn't it? It holds us back in so many ways. Admittedly, I have always been one to allow fear to control me even though one of my favorite quotes is "Always do what you are afraid to do" by Ralph Waldo Emerson. Having FINALLY pushed some of my fears aside, at least momentarily, I recently entered some pretty big print competitions. As most artist do, I pour my heart and soul into every image I create so you can see how having experts critique my work has been a bit on the terrifying side. Like all things in life the only way to grow is to learn from the mistakes, so this was a fear I had to squash. The results are in and, while I still have a lot of work to do to improve, I don't totally suck! ;-)

A few months ago I submitted some of my portrait work into the PPNC (Professional Photographers of North Carolina) state print competition and the IPC (International Print Competition) through PPA (Professional Photographers of America). I am happy to say at PPNC four out of four of my images merited! Woohooo! I entered IPC for the first time ever and three out of those four images merited! I couldn't believe it! I am even happier to say that in both competitions all portraits submitted were from my past client work.

Next year my goal is to get all four out of four portraits to merit at both PPNC and IPC. These competitions will mean higher level work for my clients because it pushes me out of my comfort zone and takes my creativity to a whole new level. I am so grateful that God has blessed me with this gift and thankful to all of you for the love and support over the years! Here's to bigger dreams, higher goals, and better results in 2019!

Now, I would love to hear from you. What fear are YOU going to go conquer today?

Hugs + Love,

Jeannie
